By accessing or using any IRAĀIO website or platform, you agree to the following Terms of Use. These terms reflect both our kaupapa Māori values and the legal obligations under New Zealand and Australian law.
1. Respect for Tikanga and Taonga
All content across the IRAĀIO websites — including wānanga, teaching resources, cultural knowledge, artwork, text, and video/audio recordings — are considered taonga tuku iho and are shared under principles of manaakitanga, kaitiakitanga, and tapu.
You agree to:
Engage respectfully with the content
Uphold the integrity of the teachings and their origins
Not reproduce, distribute, sell, or modify any material without explicit written permission
2. User Accounts and Login Security
Each registration and login is for one named person only. IRAĀIO operates on a one-person-per-login policy.
You must not:
Share your login details with others
Use another person’s login or give yours to a group, organisation, or whānau for shared access
IRAĀIO reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account without notice if we detect or reasonably suspect:
Multiple users on a single login
Fraudulent use
Any breach of these Terms of Use or disrespectful engagement with our content or kaupapa
3. Payments and Legal Accountability
By registering or purchasing through our websites, you agree to:
Pay all advertised fees and charges associated with your selected service, course, or product
Be personally responsible for any misuse of your account
Cover 100% of all administrative, recovery, and enforcement costs, which shall be no less than the full cost of the course or service concerned, in the event of:
Misuse, unauthorised access, chargeback, or cancellation after access is granted
Breach of any Terms resulting in enforcement action
Reimburse IRAĀIO for any legal or collection costs (including solicitor or tribunal fees) we incur to recover unpaid fees or enforce our rights
This includes but is not limited to breaches relating to login misuse, unauthorised access to paid materials, or failure to complete agreed-upon payment plans.
4. Refunds and Cancellations
Refunds are not guaranteed and are considered only in exceptional circumstances. Any request must be made in writing and will be assessed case-by-case. Admin fees may apply.
5. Content Access and Changes
Access to courses or content may be time-limited, as specified in the course or purchase description. IRAĀIO reserves the right to:
Update or modify course content at any time
Discontinue access to outdated or inactive materials
Revoke access for any breach of terms or tikanga, including misuse or cultural harm
6. Intellectual Property
All content — including digital resources, video, text, images, graphics, logos, and all elements of the IRAĀIO brand — remain the intellectual property of IRAĀIO and its creators.
You may not:
Copy, republish, or redistribute any material for external use without written permission
Use IRAĀIO materials to create derivative works or content in another programme or teaching context unless explicitly authorised
7. Third-Party Tools & Platforms
IRAĀIO may use third-party services (e.g., Thinkific, WordPress, Stripe, Zoom) to provide functionality. By using our services, you also agree to the terms of these platforms.
8. Limitation of Liability
IRAĀIO provides educational and cultural material with integrity and care, but we do not guarantee outcomes or assume liability for how you interpret or apply teachings.
You agree to use the website and services at your own risk. We are not liable for any loss, injury, or damages arising directly or indirectly from your use of our platforms.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Aotearoa New Zealand. For users in Australia, the laws of your State/Territory and the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) may also apply.
Any disputes shall be addressed in the appropriate legal jurisdiction of New Zealand or Australia.
10. Changes to These Terms
IRAĀIO may update these Terms of Use at any time. Updates will be effective once posted on this page.
